SNF Final Rule is Released (8/3/2009)
The SNF Final rule was released in print format on Friday, July1, 2009, and is scheduled for publication in the Federal Register on August 11. 2009. The rule is 439 pages long and further details can be found here.

Mark Anderson Receives NARA's Highest Award (May 2009)
Mark Anderson was honored with the George G. Olsen Award, NARA's highest honor at the Annual Spring Legislative Meeting in Washinton D.C., May 13-15th. In presenting this Award, NARA President Gregg Altobella stated: "Mark has...."
Mark Anderson is the President of Mountainland Rehab in Salt Lake City Utah and has been an NARA member for over 10 years, serving in the capactiy of Chair of the Legilative Committee, as well as being a member of the NARA Board of Directors.
This award is named in honor of NARA long time legal counsel and lobbyist George G. Olsen, a principal with the Washington D.C. law firm of Williams and Jensen.
NARA Installs New Board Members at Annual Membership Meeting (May 2009)
New board members were installed at the NARA Spring Legislative Meeting. Gregg Altobella accepted another term as President, and welcomed new board members as well as members of the nominating committee.
Committee leadership positions were also announced for the Legislative Committee, Clinical Resources Committee, Reimbursement Committee, Membership Services Committee and the Website Committee.
Regional Coordinators Mary Marshall, Lyle Townsend, and Stephen Hunter maintained their appointed positions, with the Northeast Regional Coordinator position remaining open following the resignation of Tracie Bettano (due to a change in responsibilities).
