Mr. Townsend is the President of Impact Wellness and Rehab. He serves as a consultant for wellness and rehab, partnering with CCRCs and LTC facilities in the Midwest region.
Mr. Townsend is a Physical Therapist with 25 years in healthcare management and clinical services across the continuum of care. This experience has bolded well for development of rehab business and clinical models to meet the ever-changing LTC and residential living environment. His areas of expertise include: senior wellness, fall prevention, business development and regulatory compliance. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, International Council of Active Aging, and serves on the Reimbursement Committee for the National Association of Rehab Agencies and Providers. Dr. Mary Marshall has over thirty years experience in healthcare giving her an extensive background in planning, implementation and management of healthcare services and programs. Dr. Marshall is currently president of Management and Planning Services, Inc (maps), a national healthcare consulting firm based in Fernandina Beach, Florida, which provides services to a variety of healthcare providers, with emphasis in long-term care and rehabilitation. As president of maps and an active healthcare consultant, Dr. Marshall’s involvement with her clients gives her a unique opportunity to understand fully the daily operations and challenges of managing a skilled nursing facility or a rehabilitation company. She consults and speaks throughout the United States in the areas of operations management, practice management, billing, reimbursement and accounts receivable, managed care, Medicaid and Medicare. Medicare is a specialty focus for Dr. Marshall. She has worked with the Medicare program since 1974. Dr. Marshall contributes regularly to professional publications on marketing, trade topics, management, regulatory compliance, Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and rehabilitation. Her prior experience includes university professor, private practitioner in rehab, Medicare and ancillary coordinator for a large nursing home company, president and CEO of a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation company, owner and president of a national healthcare consulting firm and healthcare consultant. Her company has been an active member of the National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) since 1982. Return to Top
Mr. Emerick is the Executive Director for Access Rehab Centers. He received his BS degree in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson College of Allied Health in Philidelphia PA, an MS in Occupational Therapy from College Misercordia in Dallas, PA, and his MBA from The University of New Haven, in New Haven, CT. Mr. Emerick has worked as a clinician and managed programs in several different venues to include inpatient acute care and rehabilitation services, outpatient CORF, Rehab Agency, and contracted services/program development across a multi-state area. His areas of expertise include: program development, operations management, systems management, financial management, marketing, and start-up operations. In addition to his duties at Access Rehab Centers, Mr. Emerick also functions as a Regional Director for Eastern Rehabilitation Network, located in Newington, CT. Stephen Hunter received his bachelor of arts in physical therapy from University of Utah in 1984. In 2008 he completed his doctorate of physical therapy also from the University of Utah. He began working for Intermountain Healthcare in 1984. Stephen completed a 2-year orthopedic residency at the Kelsey Institute in Austin Texas in 1995 and became board certified in orthopedic physical therapy in 1996 (renewed in 2006). Currently, Mr. Hunter continues as a clinician at the West Jordan Utah Medical Clinic and as the Administrator over 12 outpatient orthopedic physical\occupational therapy clinics. Stephen has been involved in clinical and quality improvement research since 1986. He is an adjunct clinical instructor within the Division of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah. Mr. Hunter speaks nationally and has authored several abstracts and articles. He is a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. He enjoys gardening, spending time with his family and coaching youth soccer. Return to Top
