NARA has long been a strong advocate for the members we serve and the patients they serve. Our lobbyist firm, Williams & Jensen, is our connection on Capitol Hill and to the federal agencies that impact therapy businesses and services. NARA collaborates with other professional and trade associations to co-sign letters to Congressional leaders and CMS. Advocacy is a key component of NARA and we create many opportunities for our members and non-members to individually and collectively advocate for their business, community and patients they serve. Opportunities for advocacy:

  • Submitting individual comments to CMS on proposed rules via NARA provided templates
  • Collaborating with other NARA members to develop NARA's comments to CMS on proposed rules and requests for information
  • Campaigns targeting Congressional members on specific bills

The one thing you can count on is that healthcare will always change! NARA ensures our members are kept up to date on the latest changes that impact your business. We organize webinars and conferences to provide attendees with innovative and timely sessions addressing challenges, business growth and operations.

NARA hosts 2 live conferences each year:

  • Spring Conference: focus is topics related to legislation and regulation impacting therapy providers. This conference happens in May and is hosted in Washington DC
  • Fall conference: focus is topics related to business operations including staffing, leadership, finance, compliance, documentation, reimbursement, management of resources, providing therapy services, revenue sources, etc. This conference is held in October and is hosted on the West coast in either Las Vegas, Scottsdale or San Diego

Our conferences also include several opportunities of connecting with peers, meeting with solution partners, and earning CEUs for PT, OT, SLP and CHC.

See what our members say about the value they find in their NARA Membership:
