As the industry progresses toward a value-based reimbursement environment, it is important our workforce understands how this impacts them.  This type of reimbursement change focus more on the outcomes than day to day treatment.  Leadership provides an essential role in creating and sustaining an organizational model geared toward continuous improvement and effective change management.  The ability for leadership to develop an evidence-based approach to human resources is essential for success to this new environment.

Course Objectives

1. Describe the impact of a formal people charter and associated activities on corporate culture, vision, and resource allocation.
2. Explain how the clinical, management and leadership aspects of patient care intertwine with each other to impact organizational outcomes.
3. Identify the role leadership development plays in creating and sustaining an organizational model geared toward continuous improvement and effective change management.
4. Develop a strategy for implementing an evidence-based approach to human resources within the attendee’s own organization.
